Pressure Switch Assembly
Install Jumper Harness (J39775) to transaxle 20-pin connector. Compare resistance of pressure switches with gear selector in each position to known values. See Fig 2 . If resistance values are the same as chart, problem is intermittent. If resistance values are not the same, complete chart until problem is found.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
