- Perform On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check. After performing OBD system check, go to next step.
- With engine running, wiggle PCM connectors, ICM connectors, CKP sensor connector and related wiring. If engine stumbles, go to step 5). If engine does not stumble, go to next step.
- Install scan tool. Select med. resolution parameter on scan tool while operating any non-engine related system. accessories on vehicle. If MED. RESOLUTION RESYNC CNTR on scan tool resyncs while operating accessories, go to step 5). If MED. RESOLUTION RESYNC CNTR on scan tool does not resync while operating accessories, go to next step 4).
- Replace CKP sensor. If condition is corrected, perform OBD System Check. If condition is not corrected, go to step 6).
- Repair faulty circuit that created problem. After repair is completed, perform OBD System Check.
- Replace PCM. Program replacement PCM using required equipment. After repair is completed, perform OBD System Check.
