Washer Motor Does Not Operate
1995 Chevrolet Camaro Base, 2D Coupe, 3.8 KSECTION Washer Motor Does Not Operate
- Disconnect washer motor connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect test light between washer motor connector terminal "A" (Red wire) and terminal "B" (Black wire). Operate washer switch. If test light does not come on, go to next step. If test light comes on, check for poor wiring connection to washer motor. If connection is okay, replace washer motor.
- Connect test light between washer motor connector terminal "A" (Red wire) and ground. Operate washer switch. If test light does not come on, go to next step. If test light comes on, repair open in Black wire between washer motor and ground connection.
- Connect test light between wiper/washer switch connector terminal "H" (Pink wire) and ground. Operate washer switch. If test light comes on, check for open in Pink wire, Red wire and/or isolation diode (located in harness, about 4" from wiper/washer switch between wiper/washer switch and washer motor). Repair as necessary. If test light does not come on, check for poor wiring connection at wiper/washer switch connector terminal "H" (Pink wire). If connection is okay, replace wiper/washer switch.
