- Using Final Drive/Clutch Assembly Remover/Installer (J-33381 ), remove 2nd clutch and input shaft clutch housings as an assembly. See Fig 2. Remove reverse band if it did not come out with 2nd clutch housing.
- Remove thrust washers. Install input housing and shaft assembly back in transaxle. Install Loading Tool (J-26958 ) to transaxle case. See Fig 1.
- Measure input shaft clutch housing end play using End Play Gauge (J-33386 ). Record measurements for proper end play clearances during reassembly. See Fig 1.
- Fit proper selective thrust washer and measure clearance. Record measurement, and set aside proper selective washer for reassembly. Remove 2nd clutch and reverse band assembly as described previously in step Β 1.
