DTC 56 Left Front Motor Circuit Open: Notes
This test identifies a motor that cannot be energized due to an open circuit.
DTC 56 can set only when motor is commanded off and EBCM detects an out of range voltage on either left front motor circuits indicating an open circuit. DTC will be stored, ABS will be disabled and ABS warning light will turn on.
- Checks for proper motor resistance.
- Checks for open in motor high circuit.
- Checks for open in motor low circuit.
- Ensures malfunction was not due to poor terminal contact.
