(1) Tighten to specification shown on instruction sheet that came with ball joint kit if specification is different than listed.
(2) Tighten to 74 ft. lbs. (100 N.m) during initial assembly. After installing wheels and lowering to ground, tighten nut to final torque.
(3) May be tightened to maximum of 52 ft. lbs. (71 N.m) to align cotter pin hole.
(4) Snug tighten nut to 88 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). Then turn nut additional 120 degrees maximum to line up cotter pin hole, during which time final torque must be obtained.
