A087 - Abs Red Brake Telltale Circuit Open
1993 Chevrolet Corsica 3.1 TSECTION A087 - Abs Red Brake Telltale Circuit Open
This test verifies EBCM has continuity to Red BRAKE telltale light. Because other systems also use this circuit, a short to ground cannot be detected. ABS warning light will flash to indicate malfunction, but ABS will not be disabled.
NOTE:
Test number refers to number on diagnostic chart.
- This step determines if fault is still present.
- This step indicates if EBCM and circuit has ability to complete ground to Red BRAKE telltale light.
- This step tests for circuit completion to instrument cluster.
- This step determines if open circuit is due to EBCM failure or BRAKE telltale.
- This step checks for an open in park brake circuitry.
- This step determines if malfunction is intermittent.
- This step verifies condition of fuse.
