1993 Chevrolet Corsica 3.1 TSECTION A053 - Right Front Channel In Release Too Long (All Models)

This test is designed to detect a motor that is energized too long. This will occur if wheel speed sensor is defective, motor does not turn, right front solenoid is open or motor wires are crossed. Code A053 will disable ABS function and turn ABS warning light on.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This step determines if a problem exists in wheel speed sensor that may cause system to be in release too long.
  2. This step identifies a motor fault or motor wired incorrectly.
  3. This step checks for open solenoid.
  4. This step determines if hydraulic failure is due to solenoid or hydraulic modulator.
  5. This step releases motor pack tension prior to removal.
  6. This step determines if motor pack or hydraulic modulator is cause for Code A053 being set.
