ECM used for this engine can also be used for other engines. Difference is in MEM-CAL. If a Code 41 sets, incorrect MEM-CAL has been installed or MEM-CAL is faulty and must be replaced.
NOTE:
Test number refers to number on diagnostic chart.
- Turn ignition off, and clear codes. Start engine, and run it for one minute. If code resets, check for faulty connection due to MEM-CAL not locked in place or incorrectly installed. If code does not recur, code is intermittent. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS.
