Code 32 represents an EGR flow test error. During a closed throttle coast-down, ECM will cycle 3 internal EGR valve solenoids on and off individually while monitoring for changes in engine RPM and oxygen (O2) sensor activity.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
- This test determine if power to EGR valve exists.
- This test will determine if an open circuit exists in EGR wiring or if EGR valve is at fault.
- This test will determine if a short to ground exists in any circuit going to EGR valve or if ECM is at fault.
