A025 - Excessive Left Front Wheel Acceleration
Wheel sensors produce AC voltage signal as magnetic teeth pass coil. AC voltage created enables EBCM to determine wheel RPM. EBCM compares individual wheel acceleration or deceleration beyond specified limits. Code A025 will disable ABS function and turn ABS warning light on.
- This step determines if fault is currently present.
- This step checks for apparent physical damage that may cause code to set.
- This step determines if sensor internal resistance is correct.
- This step verifies sensor can generate an output signal.
- This step determines if sensor is shorted to ground.
- This step checks for voltage at sensor harness connector.
- This step verifies sensor is not internally shorted.
- This step checks for open in wheel speed signal low circuit.
- This step checks for open in wheel speed signal high circuit.
- This step checks for short to ground in both wheel speed signal high and low circuits.
- This step ensures Code A025 is not caused by poor connections between EBCM and connector.
