Disassemble
1992 Chevrolet G 30 Van V8-350 5.7LSECTION Disassemble
1. Remove spiral snap ring and discard. A new spiral snap ring must be used every time it is removed.
2. Remove clutch retainer and race.
3. Remove sprag assembly.
4. Remove snap ring, direct clutch backing plate, clutch plates and dish plate.
5. Remove snap ring using spring compressor tool No. J-23327 and mechanical press adapter tool No. J-25018-A or equivalents.
6. Remove spring, retainer assembly and piston.
7. Remove inner and outer seal from piston and center seal from housing.
8. Clean all components.
