Oil Pressure Check

1990 Chevrolet Lumina APV V6-191 3.1LSECTION Oil Pressure Check
1. Check transaxle oil level.

2. Check and adjust throttle valve cable.

3. Check shift linkage adjustment.

4. Ensure engine is properly operating.




5. Connect oil pressure gauge to transaxle and tachometer to engine.







6. To check minimum throttle valve line pressure, have throttle valve cable at its minimum travel position, then with brakes applied, transaxle in range specified and engine at specified speed, check pressures according to chart.

7. To check full throttle valve line pressure, tie or hold the TV to the full extent of its travel, then with brakes applied, transaxle in range specified and engine at specified speed, check pressures also according to the chart.
