1. Inspect control valve and auxiliary valve body for oil passage damage, casting porosity, machine face damage, scored valve bores, pump pocket damage and body sleeve for damage.
2. Inspect valves and bushings for scoring or cracks.
3. Inspect for collapsed springs.
4. Inspect pump rotor and vanes for rotor damage, vane damage, vane rings for damage, slide seals and slide O-ring seals.
5. Inspect pump shaft bearing for damage.
