THIS BULLETIN CANCELS AND SUPERSEDES DEALER SERVICE BULLETIN 90-29-0A, DATED JULY 1989. AN ILLUSTRATION HAS BEEN ADDED. ALL COPIES OF 90-29-0A SHOULD BE DISCARDED.
The 1990 U-van MUST NOT BE TOWED from the front using sling type equipment. Use either wheel lift or car carrier equipment to transport this vehicle.
The 1990 U-van can be sling towed from the rear by using the following detailed instructions. The maximum tow speed and distance with drive wheels on the ground is 35 mph for 50 miles or transaxle damage could occur.

FRONT TOW
NOTICE:
DO NOT TOW WITH SLING-TYPE EQUIPMENT OR FACIA/FOG LAMP DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.
USE WHEEL LIFT OR CAR CARRIER EQUIPMENT.
ADDITIONAL RAMPING MAY BE REQUIRED FOR CAR CARRIER EQUIPMENT.
USE SAFETY CHAINS AND WHEEL STRAPS.

REAR TOW
Attach "T" hook chains to side slots in Frame Rails just ahead of rear wheels on both sides. See inset.
Position lower sling crossbar directly under rear bumper.
Attach a separate safety chain to each side of the axle inboard of the spring.
