REMOTE MIRROR CONTROL KNOB LOOSE

1990-92 LUMINA APV
CONDITION:
Some owners of 1990-92 U-vans may experience a condition where the control knob for the outside rear view mirror is loose in the door upper trim garnish molding. This condition may occur on the left and/or right side.
CORRECTION:
Install (4) four retaining clips, P/N 10215107, using the following procedure:
1. Remove door trim and upper garnish molding.
2. Remove outside mirror control from the garnish molding by loosening the set screw.

3. Install the first clip (P/N 10215107) as close to set screw location as possible. (See illustration). The remaining (3) three clips are to be positioned at 90 degrees from each other around the opening.
4. Reinstall mirror control to the garnish molding, tighten set screw, and replace lower trim panel.
