Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove nut from brace at A/C compressor, then remove nut attaching brace to engine.
4. Remove drain pan from under engine oil pan.
5. Disconnect electrical connector from oil pressure sending unit, then remove sending unit.
6. Remove oil filter, then disconnect starter wiring from starter motor.
7. Remove bolts from starter motor, then remove starter motor and shims if used.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
