1983-92 caps radiator & thermo - Fill through
All 4-cyl. 1.8L, thermostat thermostat housing
2.0L OHC; 2.5L housing until coolant reaches
W/thermostat top of radiator neck.

1984-85 FIERO caps radiator & thermo 2000 Fill through
thermostat thermostat housing
housing until coolant reaches
top of radiator, replace caps. Run engine for three minutes and then fast idle for 15-20 seconds. Top off through thermostat housing
1986-88 FIERO caps radiator & radiator off Fill cooling
thermostat system through
housing radiator until full.
Replace cap and run engine until warm. Add coolant through thermostat housing as needed
1987-89 V6 2.8L valve thermostat radiator off With high-mounted
FWD ex. Century, housing by-pass hose (above
Celebrity, Ciera, radiator), also
6000 remove hose from
pipe
1986-87 V6 3.0L, hose heater radiator 3000 Rev to 3000 RPM
3.8L Electra, outlet & top off

1989-92 V6 3.1L valves 1. thermostat radiator off Close valves when
ex. Century, housing coolant flows from
Celebrity, 2. throttle vent, continue filling,
Ciera, 6000 body idle engine to
return operating
pipe temperature and top

V6 3.4L valves 1. thermostat radiator off Fill through
housing radiator neck until
2. heater full. Allow system to
inlet stabilize and add
pipe coolant as needed.
Install radiator cap and close air bleeds. Fill coolant reservoir to proper level
1988-91 - - radiator - With AC on, rev
V6 3.8L Code C, engine to 3000 RPM
1989-90 V6 3.3L at least five times to
purge trapped air
1991-92 3.8L plug thermostat radiator idle Turn AC on, temp.
Code L, 1 housing on high. Rev engine
to 3000 rpm five times and slowly open air bleed
1992 5.7L
Code P screw 1. thermostat radiator off -
Corvette housing
2. throttle
body
Cadillac, all - - radiator - Run engine at
FWD V8 2000 rpm for 10
minutes with cap off
