Strut Assembly: Installation

- Before installation, strut may be modified to allow for camber adjustment during wheel alignment. File bottom mounting holes on strut outer flanges to enlarge holes until they match slots on inner flanges. See Fig 1 .
- To install, reverse removal procedure. When installing strut assembly in steering knuckle, ensure scribe marks on steering knuckle are aligned with strut for proper lower adjusting cam bolt position.
- Strut-to-steering knuckle lower mounting bolts must be installed with the machined flats on bolt heads in horizontal position. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ tables at end of article.
