1. Remove reverse shift lever from shaft, Fig. 1, then the gearshift housing attaching bolts, Fig. 2.
2. With levers in neutral detent position, pull housing away from case. Remove forks from sleeves.
3. If oil leakage is present around gearshift lever shafts or the interlock levers are cracked, perform the following:
a. Remove the nuts and the shift operating levers from shafts.
b. Remove gearshift lever shafts from housing.
c. Remove E-ring from interlock lever pivot pin, then the interlock levers and spring from housing.
