Lower Control Arm: Installation

1989 Chevrolet Cavalier RS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Installation

Reverse removal procedure. On pinch type ball joints install new bolt and nut. Tighten lower control arm bolts with vehicle weight on control arms. On "J" and "L" bodies tighten rear control arm bolts first, center bolts second and front bolts last. Check alignment.

NOTE: Lower control arm mounting bolts must be tightened to specification with vehicle weight on control arms.
