Chart C-12: Engine Cooling Fan (L Body): Notes
Battery voltage to operate the cooling fan motor is supplied to relay circuit No. 2. Ignition voltage to energize the relay is supplied to relay by circuit No. 39. When the ECM grounds circuit No. 335, the relay is energized and the cooling fan is turned on. When the engine is running, the ECM will turn the cooling fan on if:
- A/C system is on.
- Coolant temperature is greater than 230Β°F (108Β°C).
- Code 14 or 15, coolant sensor failure exists.
