- Lubricate all parts. Install needle bearing and 3rd gear and install synchronizer ring. Carefully press 3rd-4th synchronizer sleeve and hub assembly together using Bearing/Collar Installer (J-33374) and a press. Apply lubricant to entire circumference of collar hub interiors.
- Ensure that insert springs do not interfere with hub after installation. Install synchronizer ring, needle bearing, 4th gear and thrust washer. See Figure . Install thrust washer with recessed area facing 4th gear. Apply lubricant and press on front and rear bearing using Bearing/Collar Installer (J-33374) until firmly seated.
