1988 Chevrolet Beretta 2.8 W, StandardSECTION Reassembly
  1. Install 1st-2nd gear sleeve with small outside diameter groove positioned over thinner side of hub. Install 3rd-4th gear sleeve with small outside diameter groove positioned over wider side of hub. Install springs into keys. Install spring and key assemblies with bevel cut on keys facing toward sleeve. See Fig 1 .
  2. Position assembly as shown. See VIEW "A" in Fig 1 . Install balls. Push ball and key into sleeve using screwdriver. By centering hub, the keys and balls should click into position. See VIEW "B" in Fig 1 .
