  1. Loosen swivel nut on shift linkage. Push manual shift lever fully toward rear of vehicle. See Fig 1. Return lever 2 notches to Neutral position. Ensure shift lever is in "N" position. While holding lever lightly toward "R" range side, tighten swivel nut to 61 INCH lbs. (6 N.m).
  2. Start engine and ensure vehicle moves forward and reverse when shifting shift lever from "N" to "D", then to "R" positions.
