- Loosen swivel nut on shift linkage. Push manual shift lever fully toward rear of vehicle. See Fig 1. Return lever 2 notches to Neutral position. Ensure shift lever is in "N" position. While holding lever lightly toward "R" range side, tighten swivel nut to 61 INCH lbs. (6 N.m).
- Start engine and ensure vehicle moves forward and reverse when shifting shift lever from "N" to "D", then to "R" positions.
