Idler Arm: Installation
To install idler arm, reverse removal procedure and note the following: on G.M. models equipped with threaded bushing, thread idler arm support into bushing until the distance between the centerline of the lower mounting hole on the support and the upper face of the idler arm is 2.31-2.41" (58.3-60.8 mm). See Figure. Idler arm must freely rotate 90° in both directions from straight ahead.
