Transmission Removal & Installation: Installation

  1. To install reverse removal procedure. Apply a small amount of high-temperature grease to the pilot shaft bushing in the flywheel and on pinion bearing retainer release bearing sleeve area before installing transmission. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  .
  2. As transmission is installed, engage pinion shaft with clutch disc by slowly turning shaft to engage teeth. DO NOTΒ  allow transmission to hang free once clutch disc has been engaged.
