Fuel Injector

1987 Chevrolet Forward Control 4.8 T, Automatic, 400/M40SECTION Fuel Injector
  1. With fuel meter cover gasket in place, use a screwdriver to carefully pry injectors away from fuel meter body. Carefully lift injectors out with a twisting motion. See Fig 1.
  2. Remove small "O" ring from nozzle end of injector. Carefully rotate injector filter back and forth to remove from base of injector. Remove large "O" ring and back-up washer from top of injector cavity.
