Pressurized lubrication is provided by vacuum pump or gear driven gear-type oil pump. Lubrication flows through a radiator mounted oil cooler then into a full-flow oil filter.

Main oil gallery supplies oil through drilled passages to camshaft and crankshaft bearings. Oil flows through galleries to valve lifters then through hollow push rods to the rocker arms.
