1987 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, 4D WagonSECTION Identification

An 8-digit unit identification number is stamped on throttle body assembly for servicing or replacement reference. On Model 220, number is stamped vertically on front of body at Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) side. On Model 700, number can be found on TPS side of mounting flange. Letter codes are stamped on throttle body at external tube locations to identify vacuum hose connections.
