Hydraulic Head Seal: Removal
1986 Chevrolet Step Van P20, 6.2 J, Automatic, 475/M40SECTION Removal
- Remove injection pump from vehicle. Remove throttle shaft and seal. See THROTTLE SHAFT SEALΒ . Remove metering valve. Remove housing vent screw assembly. Remove cam advance pin hole plug and advance pin.
- Install pump in holding fixture so that rear of pump is tilted downward. Remove 2 hydraulic head locking screws. Remove hydraulic head locating screw and seal. Using a twisting motion, remove hydraulic head assembly from pump. Remove and discard "O" ring.
