1986 Chevrolet C 10 P/U 2WD V8-350 5.7LSECTION Service and Repair

C, K, G, R & V SERIES, OVERHEAD TYPE SYSTEM

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge system refrigerant.
2. Remove rear duct drain tube, remove duct to header bracket and roof panel screws, then remove rear duct assembly.
3. Disconnect blower motor harness lead and ground wire.
4. While supporting lower case to prevent damage to motor or case assemblies, remove case mounting screws, then lower case from vehicle roof.
5. Remove expansion valve sensing bulb clamps. Disconnect inlet and outlet lines at valve, then remove valve. Plug open connections.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
