Throttle Position Switch

1985 Chevrolet Nova Base, StandardSECTION Throttle Position Switch
  1. Connect a tachometer to engine. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature. Disconnect throttle position switch connector. Connect an ohmmeter between throttle position switch connector and ground.
  2. Slowly raise engine speed. Check throttle position switch setting speed when ohmmeter shows continuity. Setting speed is approximately 1800 rpm. Adjust setting speed by throttle position switch adjusting screw.
