Mirror Motor
Removal
(Calais, Grand Am & Somerset Regal)
Grasp mirror case and pull case away from housing until it snaps free. Remove motor attaching screws, disconnect wiring harness and remove motor from housing.
Installation
(Calais, Grand Am & Somerset Regal)
Connect wiring harness to motor. Place motor in housing and install attaching screws. Pull out stabilizer studs from motor and install on mirror case. Align mirror case with stabilizer stud holes and pivot bar on motor. Install mirror case.
Removal & Installation
(Fiero)
Disconnect negative battery cable and remove mirror. Remove door trim panel, weatherstrip, mirror assembly nuts and mirror assembly. Disconnect wiring harness, remove motor attaching screws and remove motor. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal
(All Other Models)
Remove mirror by tapping mirror and braking mirror glass. Remove broken glass, mirror frame attaching screw and mirror frame. Remove motor attaching screws, lift motor out of housing and disconnect wiring harness.
Installation
Connect wiring harness to motor and install motor to housing using screws. Position new mirror frame to motor and install attaching screw. Remove paper backing from service mirror and center mirror in frame. Press mirror firmly to ensure adhesion of mirror to mirror frame.
