Glow plug system charts should be used only after ensuring that glow plug system is properly installed. Check that all connectors are correctly installed and that all connections are clean and tight.

The PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSIS chart provides a quick procedure for determining if a problem exists in the glow plug system itself, or elsewhere in the electrical system. See Fig 2. This test should always be completed before proceeding with the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS chart. See Fig 3.

When to See a Mechanic
