- Set parking brake and block drive wheels. Place transmission in Neutral. Connect tachometer. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Loosen lock nut on idle speed adjusting screw. See Fig 1 .
- Turn adjusting screw to obtain curb idle speed. Tighten lock nut. Apply vacuum to fast idle actuator. Loosen lock nut on fast idle actuating screw. Adjust knurled nut to obtain fast idle speed. Tighten lock nut.
