- Adjust 1st-reverse shift rod first. Loosen shift lever retaining screw (if necessary). To adjust 1st-reverse shift linkage, place transmission in reverse (front detent) and place column shifter in the reverse position and lock steering column. See Fig 1 .
- Hold shift rod linkage tightly and tighten shift lever retaining screw. To adjust 3rd-4th shifter linkage perform same steps as above, but place transmission shift lever and column shifter in Neutral (front detent, then back one) and securely tighten retaining screw. See Fig 1 .
