1985 Chevrolet Cavalier Base, 4D Sedan, 2.8 W, StandardSECTION Removal
- Using Tool (J-29811), unscrew rod and piston assembly from rack. Because of tight tolerances, it may be necessary to use piston guide as a slide hammer to separate rod and piston from rack.
- DO NOT remove piston rod guide from rod and piston assembly unless piston rod guide, piston rod seal or piston and rod assembly require replacement. This could damage piston rod seal.
- Remove retaining ring and back-up washer from piston guide. Using a screwdriver, carefully pry seal from piston guide.
