Some 1979-1987 light duty truck models may experience a high pitched squeal coming from the front of the vehicle under light to moderate brake applications. Revised noise insulated brake pads (called SAS II) with an insulator permanently attached to the metal portion of the brake pads are now available to help reduce brake squeal.
