Choke Unloader

1985 Chevrolet Astro Van Cargo, 4.3 N, Standard, MH3SECTION Choke Unloader
NOTE: Adjustment is performed using choke valve angle gauge. See ANGLE GAUGE ADJUSTMENT TOOLΒ  procedure at beginning of ADJUSTMENTS.
  1. Attach rubber band to Green tang of intermediate choke shaft. Open throttle to allow choke valve to close. Attach angle gauge and set angle to specification.
  2. NOTE: Adjust with secondary lock-out lever held away from pin.
  3. Hold secondary lock-out lever away from pin. Hold throttle lever in wide open position. See Fig 1.
  4. To adjust, bend fast idle lever tang until bubble of angle gauge is centered.
