Gear Unit: Disassembly

1983 Chevrolet Step Van P20, 5.7 M, Automatic, 400/M40SECTION Disassembly
  1. Remove thrust bearing, races and reaction carrier. Remove sun gear, thrust washer and front internal gear ring. Remove snap ring, output shaft and "O" ring.
  2. Remove thrust bearing and races from rear internal gear. Remove rear internal gear and mainshaft. Remove snap ring from mainshaft. Remove races and bearings.
