Output Shaft: Disassembly

- Place support under 4th gear and install Pilot (J-26943) on end of shaft. Press output shaft from 4th gear and bearing. See Fig 1 .
- Remove snap ring retaining 3rd gear. Slide 1-2 synchronizer assembly into 1st gear position. Align press plates to support 2nd gear. Press 2nd gear and 3rd gear from output shaft. Remove brass blocker ring.
- Remove snap ring retaining 1-2 synchronizer. While supporting 1st gear, press output shaft from 1-2 synchronizer and 1st gear. Using Pilot (J-26943) and Bearing Remover (J-22227), press output shaft from remaining bearing.
