All Models (Exc. 4-CYL.): Removal

1982 Chevrolet Suburban C20, 5.7L Eng VIN M, Standard TransSECTION Removal

Disconnect battery cable and drain cooling system. Remove heater hose, if necessary. Remove accessory drive belts and disconnect water hoses from water pump. Remove fan (or fan clutch) to water pump hub attaching bolts and remove fan and pulley. Remove pump-to-block attaching bolts and remove water pump.

NOTE: On some vehicles, it may be necessary to loosen or remove generator adjusting brace or air conditioner hose bracket nuts to prevent removal interference.
