- Use a regular carburetor cleaning solution. Soak components long enough to thoroughly clean all surfaces and passages of foreign matter.
- Do not soak any components containing rubber, leather or plastic. Definitely do not soak idle speed solenoid or control mixture control solenoid, throttle position sensor, electric choke, diaphragms, pump plunger and plastic filler block. Plastic bushings in end of vacuum break link and air valve rod will withstand normal cleaning.
- Remove any residue after cleaning by rinsing components in a suitable solvent.
- Blow out all passages with dry compressed air.
