The control is located in the center of the instrument panel. The rotary temperature-control dial has color-codings for temperature settings as well as numeral indicators (red for hot, white for moderate and blue for cold).

An electrical switch is mounted on the underside of the baseplate and is positioned by the control lever to provide required electrical connections, which ultimately control system mode and requirements.
