General Motors convertible "B" and "E" body styles have an inward folding top. Operation of top is controlled by an electric switch on instrument panel. Top is powered by a reversible electric motor and gear reduction unit. The motor and gear reduction unit drive two cables which operate each top actuator. Each top actuator contains an integral gear reduction unit with a sector gear and lever for hinge movement.
