Performance Testing
A performance test will determine if the system is performing properly by comparing the test results with system standards as shown in the following "PERFORMANCE TABLES". Certain conditions must be pre-set and carefully adhered to in order to make it possible to compare test results with standards listed in the tables. Set the following conditions:
- Vehicle must be inside or in the shade, with hood up.
- Vehicle in NEUTRAL with engine running at 2000 RPM at normal operating temperature.
- A/C controls set for maximum cooling, blower at HI, temperature control lever set at COLD and all A/C outlets open.
- Gauge set installed and system stabilized after approximately 10 minutes operation.
- A thermometer placed in front of grille and another in the right hand diffuser outlet.
