Purge Door (Camaro Only)
The door is in the evaporator cover and opens into the engine compartment (by vacuum) whenever the selector (upper) lever is at OFF. At the OFF position air is circulated through the evaporator assembly at fixed low blower and discharged into the engine compartment. The purge door is spring loaded "shut" and vacuum is required to open the door.

When to See a Mechanic
