Expansion valve may be removed after removing evaporator from engine compartment. On bench, remove expansion valve, peel back insulating material for access to capillary bulb retaining clamps. Remove clamps securing expansion valve. To install, reverse removal procedure.

NOTE: It is important that capillary tube be tightly clamped to suction line at evaporator. Both line and tube should be clean at points of contact. Do not kink tubes when installing or removing.
