All direction signal systems are similar in design and operate in the same manner except that various types of indicator circuits are used. See typical wiring diagrams below.Β  Power source for the flasher is usually the "IGN" or "ACC" terminal of the ignition switch so that the direction signals are operative only with the ignition turned on. A fuse or circuit breaker is connected in this power source line to protect the direction signal circuits.
